Tony Miller BSC, is a UK based Director of Photography (DOP). Growing up in Holland and Sweden, he studied Drama at Bristol University. He speaks Dutch and French.
Throughout the nineties as a DP, Tony worked on nearly 100 documentaries, (winning many awards worldwide, including RTS and Emmy). These included “Mustang the Hidden Kingdom”, “In the company of Whales”, “Spirits of the Rainforest” and “Marathon Monks”.
Tony recently shot “Dawn of Man” which was Emmy nominated in 2016 and continues to shoot documentaries every year.
In the late 90’s his cinematography turned to fiction. He has shot eight feature films, and many mini-series, including the Emmy awarded and Bafta best photography nominated “Small Island”, “The Passion” for HBO and “Zen”. “Quirke”, won best cinematography at the BSC awards in 2014.
Tony recently shot “Spotless” for Netflix and “Fleabag” for Amazon both of which are transmitting late 2016.
Tony holds a current commercial pilot license and over 2000 hours on type.
